The end of the Countess

The Countess of Seafield was wrecked in the Torres Strait in 1870. The location is noted here.
The following is a transcript of the letter shown below:

Enclosed One

Sir,
I beg to hand you enclosed
certificate of Registry of the Countess of
Seafield official number 26507, William
Alfred Pearce Master, which has been
cancelled by reason of the above vessel
having been totally wrecked on the Second
of August last on Bramble Cay reef in
Torres Straits. All hands have been saved
by the Norwegian vessel Talisman which
arrived at this Port on 30th August last.
